Tragedy. Having been a meteorologist as a young man in the Marines and having lived in New Orleans with many friends still along the Gulf Coast and in New Orleans you would think it strange that I am so shocked about the death and destruction. I know the power of weather and knew well the precarious position that New Orleans occupied but you just never think it will happen or that it will be as bad as predicted - awful.
