Got an email this morning along with some photos from one of our customers.

I thought that it would make a good BLOG entry!

If any other customers want to send an entry along with some photos let me know - Also let me know if you want your name online - I won't put it there unless you say so - you will just have your Black Lab nickname otherwise...

From Stockman in CT:

Jay, I'm sure you hear this all the time but here's another one....Monday 7/24 was a beautiful clear day so I took a 30 min cruise east to Watch Hill R.I. to anchor at the beach with my wife and just walk around and get lunch etc. (no fishing involved). While anchoring stern into beach ( very shallow so we step off boat into about 2 ft. water) this guy comes snorkeling directly toward the boat. Now keep in mind there are lots of beautiful classic boats around, including not far away (see attached) Aphrodite that was featured on the cover of Soundings etc. My wife is looking at me wondering what this guy might want....and he says " is this one of those Blacklab Marine Boats?" And the whole time I was anchoring, he proceeded to quiz me and check out the boat. Turns out he was originally from Oregon and was familiar with aluminum boats and was thinking about one in the 18 ft range. Very friendly guy.....the bottom line is most times I get gas or anchor somewhere I get quite a bit of attention. From your musings on the web site I gather business is good and I can understand why. As gas prices keep creeping up, which unfortunately I expect to continue, these boats get more and more attractive. My kids take it out all the time, the older one 18 yrs. goes surfing with friends on the south side of Fisher's Island and I never have to worry about anything breaking. It moves fine with the 150 Honda cruising about 25 mph at 4000 rpm burning only about 6.5 - 7 gph. Anyway, I'm a very satisfied customer, my years (yes years) of research paid off. I'm attaching some photo's, I imagine you have a ton, but most people don't have my bow setup. The only minor issue is the small rubber knob that the tuna door closes against fell off and it tends to rattle at certain speeds, if there is a easy solution you know of to cure this please let me know. I doubt another boat exists that after 2 years the only complaint is a small rubber fitting. Also as I've mentioned before I think you should offer a higher windshield option, although I realize probably not that many buy the boat with the standalone windshield. I hope all is well with you. I wish I had a job that I loved as much as you must enjoy your's.
