Today I was working on what may be a new boat in the future and ran across some issues that I wasn't smart enough to fix... I pick-up the rolodex and was able to call the Senior Naval Architect at the USCG Engineering Logistics Center in Baltimore, MD and got my questions answered. It always amazes me how smart some people are. I've worked very hard over the years studying boats and metal boat construction, etc. I've spent literally thousands of hours reading, learning, and studying but when I call this gent I feel like a complete idiot. How does someone get that smart in just one lifetime? We are all the better for people like this. Their generosity with their knowledge never seems to come with a price tag.
